About The Peekskilll Yacht club

T he Peekskill Yacht Club is one of the oldest boat clubs on the Hudson and the membership is very proud of its home port of Peekskill and its long tradition of engagement with the City and community of Peekskill.

As we recently celebrated our 100th year on the Hudson, we reflect on our past milestones. The official year of our incorporation is 1908 and the records state that we first met at an Annsville creek location. At first the club had no permanent home and was known as the Peekskill Motor Boat Club. In 1915, we leased the site at Travis Point that we now call our homeport, from the New York Central Railroad. In 1936, we changed our name to the Peekskill Yacht Club.

We are a working club. The marina and facilities are maintained by the membership. Members also donate their time and effort to support the City of Peekskill waterfront activities.
  • Boat owners are expected to put in a minimum of 40 work hours a year.
  • Non boat owners are expected to put in a minimum of 15 work hours a year.
